How would it look?

The planned A96 dual carriageway will be a major road, built up between 6-12metres above ground level. The image to the left is taken from a visualisation of the same grade of road on another route.

Below is an artists impression of how the road might look at the West side of Forres on the Kinloss Road, near Cassieford Farm. The proportions have been estimated using the documents published by Transport Scotland in December 2018. You can click on the image to see a bigger version.



Transport Scotland's consultants have created a visualisation of the road for the segment from Inverness to Hardmuir, but have not yet created one for the Hardmuir to Fochabers segment (which goes past Forres).
